Test of Workplace Essential Skills Training (TOWES) is effective testing and training that uses workplace documents to accurately measure the three essential skills that are needed for safe and productive employment: Reading Text, Document Use and Numeracy.

Ontario Skills Passport training (OSP)

Developed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities the OSP is a bilingual web-based tool based on Human Resources and Skills Development Canada's (HRSDC) Essential Skills Research. The OSP is designed to provide access to a rich database of information on specific occupations and the skills required in them so that students and job seekers can more easily develop work plans for a variety of work placements.
